Wrote an entirely new chapter today. In it, my private investigator character fights off some muggers using a cup of coffee
and a briefcase, plus his knee. It's fun to write a fight scene that is not the traditional boxing. Writers writing fights
scenes should remember: the only place where a fight is fair is in the ring. There are rules there. If your characters
approach fights with a streetfighter's mindset, you can make your fights more interesting.

I am revising a novel called False Witness. I am revising and updating it with an eye towards electronic publication.
It features my series detective, Charlie Rowe, in a case involving the stalking and abduction of a Twin Cities TV news reporter.
As he investigates, he discovers that the truth is not what it seems. This is the second novel in what I hope will be
a series. The first, Taylor Made, is waiting copy editing. When False Witness is ready for copy editing, I
shall work on another WIP, Those Who Have Not Swords I hope to be able to publish several novels on on the
Amazon Kindle before the end of the year.

About me: I have been writing since the early 1980s, ever since discovering a passion for writing during my senior year
in High School. My completed writings include novels, short stories, and newspaper articles. I have completed four novels
in that time, and have partially completed two others. I have had little success in finding an agent or a publisher for any
of my novels, and have recently taken my efforts online. During the years that I have been writing, I have also served my
country as a member of the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. In the last five years, I have been deployed
to Army bases in Iraq, Kansas, and Virginia.
Look for my novel Taylor Made, available from Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
