It has been a while since I've posted. I'm still feeling my way through this whole independent publishing thing, while
at the same time attending school to learn a new trade (or a new version of a trade I already have, in a manner of speaking.) Last
week, I finished the second draft of my novel, Jane Doe. While working on this draft, I managed to expand the story
from around 35000 words to 53000 or so. Now I am in the process of getting it beta-read before I start the third, and I hope,
final draft. After that, I will send it for editing and think about a cover. I am hoping to get it published before the end
of the year, although I am not completely certain this will happen. This week, I started a rewrite of an old private
detective novel I have had around for a long time, Taylor Made. I am going to make some fundamental changes to the
existing plot and premise of the book, but I am also going to be able to keep a fair amount of it. Today, I re-plotted the
book. Tomorrow, I intend to work on some character sketches. The last novel was a challenge at least partly because I didn't
know my characters well enough, and I am hoping I can make it easier on myself this time.

About me: I have been writing since the early 1980s, ever since discovering a passion for writing during my senior year
in High School. My completed writings include novels, short stories, and newspaper articles. I have completed four novels
in that time, and have partially completed two others. I have had little success in finding an agent or a publisher for any
of my novels, and have recently taken my efforts online. During the years that I have been writing, I have also served my
country as a member of the United States Army's Judge Advocate General's Corps. In the last five years, I have been deployed
to Army bases in Iraq, Kansas, and Virginia.
Look for my novel Taylor Made, available from Amazon.com and BarnesandNoble.com.
